Pickleball Tasmania is an incorporated association governed by a committee of volunteers.  Committee member serve a term of 12 months from the date of the Annual General Meeting and are eligible to renominate for further terms.

History:

Pickleball Tasmania was Incorporated on 11 January 2021 with founding members Zoe Exton, Tracey Rowell (Treasurer), Phil Exton, Roy Barker, Ann Hines, Melissa Carlton (Secretary)  and Robbie Cooper (President).

Information for prospective Committee Members
 

Meeting Frequency:

  • The committee meets at 7pm on the second monday of the month (online via Zoom)

Committee Member Responsibilties:

  • Upholding the vision and values of the Pickleball.
  • Overseeing the affairs of Pickleball Tasmania and making sure it's legal obligations are met. 
  • Adhere to and maintaining the Committee's policies.
  • Endeavouring to attend all committee meetings.
  • Where possible, particpate on sub-committees and offer to take on special tasks.
  • Act honestly, fairly and in the best interest of Pickleball Tasmania and its purpose.
  • Disclose interests and not to misuse positions held or information gained as a committtee member.
  • Ensure the financial affairs of the Association are managed responsibly.

Eligibility to join the committee:

  • Be a financial member of Pickleball Tasmania
  • Reside in Tasmania and be available to meet in person if required.
  • Provide details of working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration
  • Meet all the requirements of a "reponsible person" duties as set out by the ACNC (Australian Charities and Non-Profits Commission)
