Devonport Pickleball Grand Slam 2025


The 2025 Devonport Pickleball Grand Slam, held on Tasmania’s North West Coast, was a standout success. The event welcomed 186 competitors, with an additional 29 players unable to be accommodated due to capacity limits. Participants travelled from across Tasmania and interstate, including many first-time entrants to a major Tasmanian tournament.

Tournament Highlights

  • New Teams Event: Debuting in 2025, this event featured teams led by female captains, promoting leadership, inclusivity, and balanced competition across all divisions.
  • Parent/Child Event: A family-focused addition that quickly became one of the most popular moments of the weekend.
  • Hybrid Para Event: A fully inclusive format enabling players of all abilities to compete together.
  • Traditional Divisions: Gender doubles, mixed doubles, and singles events were held across multiple age groups.
  • Franklin Balls: The Franklin balls performed exceptionally well, with players praising their consistency, bounce, and durability.

The tournament showcased pickleball’s accessibility and community spirit, highlighted by a 12-year-old gold medallist and an 82-year-old bronze medallist.

The 2025 Devonport Pickleball Grand Slam was an outstanding celebration of the sport, reflecting the continued growth, strength, and unity of the pickleball community across Tasmania.
