North V South Returns for 2026
Published Sat 30 May 2026
One of Tasmania’s most anticipated pickleball events is set to return, with the annual North vs South challenge scheduled for Sunday 23 August 2026.
Hosted by Port Sorell Pickleball Club on behalf of Pickleball Tasmania, this popular event brings together players from across the state for a day of friendly rivalry, competitive matches and great camaraderie.
This year’s competition will be held at the newly completed Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub in Mowbray. The venue’s multi-use synthetic courts provide an excellent playing surface and are ideally suited to Franklin X-40 balls, ensuring a quality playing experience for all participants.
The event is open to all current Pickleball Tasmania members, including both club-affiliated and independent players. As in previous years, players from the East Coast will represent the Northern team.
The North vs South challenge continues to be one of the highlights of the Tasmanian pickleball calendar, offering players the opportunity to represent their region while enjoying a fun and social atmosphere.
