Tasmania’s Ange Green Achieves Outstanding Results at the 2025 Pickleball World Cup

Pickleball Tasmania proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of Ange Green, who represented Australia at the 2025 Pickleball World Cup in Fort Lauderdale, USA (October 27 – November 2).

Thanks, in part, toincredible support from the community, Ange travelled to the United States to compete in both the International Pickleball Tournament (IPT) and the Pickleball World Cup (PWC)—delivering remarkable results.

International Pickleball Tournament Success

Ange’s dedication and preparation paid off brilliantly at the IPT, where she secured three medals:

🥇Gold – Women’s 50+ Singles 5.0+
🥈Silver – Women’s Combined Ages Singles 5.0+
🥈Silver – Women’s 50+ Doubles 4.5+

A Powerful Performance at the Pickleball World Cup

Australia faced a challenging pool against the USA, Italy, and Costa Rica—with the USA and Italy going on to claim the Gold and Silver from 68 nations.

Despite the tough draw, the Australian team delivered an exceptional performance:

🇦🇺 Defeated USA (3–2)
🇦🇺 Fell to Italy (1–3)
🇦🇺 Defeated Costa Rica (4–0)

Australia finished pool play equal on wins with Italy and the USA, missing playoffs by just four points on countback.

A standout highlight: Australia was the only team across all divisions to defeat the USA, who went on to win gold in every category.

A Memorable Experience on a World-Class Stage

The World Cup was staged at a venue featuring 43 courts—including 14 covered courts—and the world’s first purpose-built pickleball stadium. Competing among the world’s best amateur players created unforgettable memories, but for Ange, the greatest honour was wearing green and gold and representing Australia.

A Message of Thanks

Ange extends her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported her journey. Your encouragement and generosity played a vital role in making this experience possible.
